Thanks for visiting my site!

I’m a freelance cinematographer living in New York. I have shot over 40 music videos, over 70 documentaries, over 10 narrative shorts and countless projects for promos, events, over 60 weddings, dance, fashion, red-carpet, educational, corporate, live-music, EPK, interviews and how-to-video. I own full a large-sensor HD production gear (Canon C100 + Sony FS100) + HD DSLR package (Canon 60D) + a small greenscreen studio in Bronx.

My schedule is pretty flexible since I’m a 100% freelancer.

I’m extremely reliable and loyal person. And I’m very scared to work with certain types of clients. Please read below and if you are these types of clients, let’s not work.

I DON’T WORK WITH CLIENTS WHO DON’T WANT TO PAY ME.

I DON’T WORK WITH CLIENTS WHO DON’T WANT TO GIVE ME A LUNCH BREAK.
I cannot eat meat, cheese, pizza, lazania, McDonalds and Burger King. FYI, I work better especially when I eat rice, vegetable and any seafood.

I DON’T WORK WITH CLIENTS WHO DON’T WANT ME TO SLEEP AT NIGHT.
I need to sleep 6-hours/day, at least. I work best when I sleep more than 8-hours/day, FYI. I’m a good cinematographer and also regular human being that needs food and rest. I’m not a super filmmaker machine, FYI.

I DON’T WORK WITH CLIENTS WHO CANCEL AT LAST MOMENT BECAUSE OF WHATEVER REASONS.
I’m an extremely loyal person, and commit to a project once my client confirm a shoot. Once a shoot is confirmed, I would turn down all other gigs to keep the day for the client. If the client cancel because of whatever reason, I would lose all gigs and end up not working the day.

I DON’T WORK WITH CLIENTS WHO WANT ME TO SHOOT UNDER RAIN TILL MY EQUIPMENT GET SOAKED.
I enjoy working with clients who always have a backup plans in case of weather problem.

I’m originally from Japan, moved to New York in 1996 and have worked on numerous amount of film/video/media projects as an editor first, and then did transition to cinematographer about 7 years ago. My passion is yoga, meditation, traveling and making films & videos with nice people.
